گلگت/ایجنسیز/نارکوٹکس کنٹرول اور سماجی تنظیم سیڈو کے عہدیداروں نے کہا ہے کہ گلگت بلتستان میں روزانہ 1 کروڑ 35 لاکھ کا تمباکو استعمال ہوتا ہے جس کا سالانہ تخمینہ پونے پانچ ارب سے بھی زیادہ بنتا ہے۔ جس سے تمباکو کی ابھرتی ہوئی مصنوعات کے استعمال کا اندازہ لگایا جا سکتا ہے۔

گلگت بلتستان تمباکو ایکٹ 2020کے تحت یکم جنوری 2024سے لائسنس کے بغیر سگریٹ اور نسوار فروخت کرنے والے دکانداروں کے خلاف سخت قانونی کاروائی عمل میں لائی جائے گی۔
