“At Lal Chowk, Haji Asgar Ali Karbalai, a Guardian Council member of IKMT, delivered a fervent speech, recounting the illegal occupation of Palestinian land by Israel. He condemned the unlawful occupation of Arab territories, highlighting the heinous attacks on children and women, the demolition of homes, and arrests in Palestine by Israeli forces.

Karbalai pointed out India’s historical stance on the Palestine issue, referencing Mahatma Gandhi and former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee’s assertion that the land occupied by Israel must be vacated. He appealed to the current Modi government to reconsider its policy towards Palestine and refrain from supporting the illegal state of Israel.

Addressing misconceptions about Hamas, Karbalai emphasized the group’s acceptance in Gaza and throughout Palestine. He refuted media claims suggesting otherwise, dismissing them as falsehoods propagated by biased sources – Godi media.

Following Friday prayers, the Jamiat Ulema Isna Ashriya Kargil also held a protest at Islamia School Chowk, condemning Israel’s brutal actions against the people of Palestine.

When asked about a possible solution to the Palestine issue, President of JUIAK, Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi, advocated for dialogue and negotiations between both Israel and Palestine. He stressed the importance of finding an amicable resolution to the longstanding conflict through peaceful means.
