Kargil, August 25: In a noteworthy operation, the Darhchiks Police Post successfully apprehended Meena Damia, a Nepali woman, for engaging in the unlawful sale of alcohol to like-minded individuals within the Darchiks area. This operation led to a significant discovery by the Kargil Police, who seized a total of 20 bottles of Cheenab Rum.

The arrests occurred in the Darchiks, a periphery area of Kargil town. Legal measures have been initiated under Section 48(a) of the Excise Act, and a First Information Report (FIR) has been filed at the Kargil Police Station.
