DIET Kargil organizes district-level science, mathematics, environment exhibition

Kargil, June 20: DIET Kargil today organized District Level Science, Mathematics and Environment exhibition-2023 which was inaugurated by ADC Kargil, Ghulam Mohi-ud Din Wani at Indoor Stadium, Kargil.

Joint Director, Information, Ladakh and Additional Secretary, Higher Education, Imteeaz Kacho, Chief Education Officer Kargil, Mushtaq Ahmed, Principal DIET, Abdul Qayoom, besides concerned officers and students from various zones were present during the event.

During the event, model exhibition on the theme “Technology and Toys” by the selected students of zone level of Kargil district were displayed.

The ADC along with the dignitaries interacted with the students and visited various exhibition models. Addressing the participants, the ADC said that it is a great achievement for all the students that they have participated in the science exhibition.

He said that the Government schools are going on the right track and it is expected that more such events will be organized in the future.

Joint Director, Information, Ladakh and Additional Secretary, Higher Education, Imteeaz Kacho asserted there is a need to encourage youth to inculcate scientific temper in them. He said that the performance of Govt. Schools in 10th and 12th examination is phenomenal.

Kacho added that the event will bring confidence among students to participate in national-level events and applauded the organizers for conducting the event.

Principal DIET, Abdul Qayoom presented the vote of thanks and expressed gratitude to all the dignitaries, judges and students for making the event successful.

Later, the dignitaries felicitated the winners of the exhibition under various categories and participants were also felicitated with appreciation certificates.

Pertinently, 46 Schools under various subcategories participated in the day-long exhibition. It was informed that the UT-level competition is also going to happen in Kargil very soon.
