Breaking – Religious Organizations of Kargil Reach Agreement in Delhi Talks

Kargil, June 18: Agha Mehdi Mehdavipur, the representative of the Supreme Leader of Iran in India, has successfully facilitated the resolution of several disputed issues among prominent religious organizations in Kargil, according to reliable sources.

During a two-day deliberation on June 14 and 15, Jamiat Ulema Isna Ashriya Kargil and Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT) engaged in dialogue mediated by Agha Mehdivipur himself. The parties reached a mutual agreement on two key disputed issues: the Hamaam at Inqilab Manzil and the land of Mutahhary Public School.

Sources indicate that approximately 40 percent of the land where Mutahhary Public School’s primary department is located belongs to Shagharan, where the Islamia School building currently stands. It has now been decided to lease this piece of land to IKMT for another 90 years.

Furthermore, IKMT has presented the accounts of Hamaam during their period of responsibility, revealing a remaining balance of approximately Rs 4.79 lac. This amount is now slated to be transferred to JUIAK for liquidation.

It is worth mentioning that Agha Mehdavipur, following his recent five-day visit to the Kargil district, delivered letters to both JUIAK and IKMT, urging them to engage in dialogue to address the longstanding issues between the two organizations.

The meeting provided a platform for deliberations, with four members from each organization, including their respective Chairman/President, participating and successfully resolving the long-standing issues. The representatives from IKMT were Sheikh Mohammad Mohaqiq, Sheikh Sadiq Rajai, Sheikh Mohd Hussain Lutfi, and Sheikh Hassanain Rizwani. From JUIAK, the representatives were Sheikh Nazir Mehdi Mohammadi, Sheikh Jawad Hamri, Sheikh Ghulam Hussain Qari, and Sheikh Mohammad Khalili Karit.

Agha Mehdavipur’s initiative demonstrates a commitment to fostering harmony and promoting dialogue as essential means of resolving issues. By bringing together these influential religious organizations, the aim is to facilitate understanding, bridge differences, and pave the way for improved relations between them.

These talks in New Delhi hold significant promise as they provide an opportunity for both IKMT and JUIAK to express their concerns, explore common ground, and work towards a mutually beneficial resolution. The involvement of Agha Mehdavipur as a respected mediator underscores the seriousness and importance of the discussions.

The outcome of these talks has the potential to not only address the immediate issues between the organizations but also contribute to long-term stability, unity, and collaboration within the religious community of Kargil.

Based on these positive outcomes, it is anticipated that the representatives from IKMT and JUIAK will approach future talks with an open mind, a commitment to constructive dialogue, and a shared goal of finding peaceful resolutions to other disputed issues, upholding the values and principles cherished by both organizations.
