IKMT pay rich tribute to General Qasem Solemani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis

VoL, January 03: On the third anniversary of the martyrdom of General Qasem Solemani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust (IKMT), Kargil remembered them with reverence in Kargil during a day long programme held at Jama Masjid, Kargil today.

The main commemoration programme was held at the Jamia Masjid Kargil which was presided by Hojjatul Islam Shiekh Mohammad Sadiq Rajai, Chairman IKMT where hundreds of people attended.

The programme started with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran by a student Akbar Ali of Darul Quran Sajjadia Baroo.

During the congregation, Hojjatul Islam Shiekh Ghulam Hasnain Rezwani in his address stated that Haj Qasim Solaimani had dedicated his life for the human justice and oppressed people. He stated that commemoration of the martyrs on their anniversaries revive spiritual life into us as otherwise stay in passive worldly desires. The martyrs like Qasim Sulaimani and Abu Mehdi Mohandis lay their valuable souls for truth and in the path of Allah. Certainly they attain eternal life as described in holy Quran.

Hojjatul Islam Syed Kazim Sabiri paid glowing tribute to the martyrs and condemned US arrogance and utter disregard to international law in martyring the Generals. He hailed Iran’s President Syed Raisi for his courageous address in United Nations displaying the photograph of Martyr Qasim Sulaimani, who was instrumental in eliminating the Daesh (ISIS) terrorist outfit from Middle East and saving the humanity from evil of terrorism.

During the programme Haji Ali Kanor, Asgar Ali student and others enthralled audiences with Taranas in praise of the martyrs.

In his presidential Speech the Hojjatul Islam Shiekh Mohammad Sadiq Rajai Chairman IKMT paid condolences to the Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khamenai and the upright nation of Islamic Republic of Iran and Iraq on this occasion from the people of Kargil and said that the Martyred never die as their pious blood nourish the plant of their holy cause.

He reiterated that the best tribute to the martyrs is to follow his line.  He reiterated that martyrs will continue to inculcate new zeal in righteous people all over the world. He also prayed for wellbeing all human being and sought peace in the world. The programme conducted by Molana Abass Krari, Secretary Baseej I Imam IKMT.

Earlier in the morning a three day Photo Exhibition was also inaugurated in the Convention Hall of Imam Khomieni Tower, by Hojjatul Islam Shiekh Mohammad Sadiq Rajai. This Exhibition was exclusively arranged by the Clergy Wing, Baseej-i-Ruhaniun of IKMT Kargil wherein photographs covering the lives of Martyr General Qasim Solemani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis as well as other Martyrs were displayed.

The exhibition attracted a large number of admirers. A video presentation on the life and works of martyrs were also screened on this occasion for Darul Quran students.

It is pertinent to remind that General Qasim Solemani, the commander of (IRGC), Islamic Republic Of Iran and his Iraqi trench mate Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, (Hashd-u-Shabi) of Iraq, were martyred along with their companions in a U.S. terror drone strike ordered by the former President of USA, Donald Trump near Baghdad International Airport on 3rd January 2019.

Both commanders were admired by Muslims for their role in eliminating Daesh (ISIS) terrorist group in the Middle East, particularly in Iraq and Syria. The U.S. assassination had drawn a wave of condemnation from Muslims and Non Muslims throughout the world, and triggered huge public protests across the region. Spontaneous outrage was also observed in Kargil and Leh in Ladakh at that time which culminated with symbolic Jinaza procession in Kargil under the banner of Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust Kargil.
