  1. Well being a local resident of kargil town,I have seen the unruly behaviors and tantrums of both doctors/medical officials and police walas . Both the community are notorious for their rude and ugly behaviors. On one side the doctors are self -acclaimed demigods in kargil ,who have formed gangs and each gang fight for its superiority and look down upon other gang.in that tug of war between gangs , the innocent/ poor / helpless patients suffers enormously. It is well known that patient of one gang of doctor is usually get unnoticed or unexamined by doctor of the other gang during their ward duty time. People does raise fingers against the doctor and medical staff pathetic unprofessional behaviour but doctors have money , political pressure group and above all the department behind them and no body dare to question them.Thats the reason 90% of the well-off section of kargil never trust on these doctors/ medical staff and usually get themselves treated at srinagar/ jammu and those who lives in kargil have no choice. I have personal experiences as well based on memories of my relatives , family members admitted in distt.hospital .the nurses and paramedics are demons and haunts patient like anything.they have no professional ethics and attitude problem .
I wish district administration and UT administration must take a strong action against these so called professional bigots, goons and make them disciplined .
Let me put my view about kargil police. Before covid 19 pandemic police have nothing to do with everyday life of commoners, but since the covid 19 pandemic curfew police got to play a big role in interfering , imposing , agonizing, misusing , harassing poor commoners on simple pretext of enforcement of DDM act and section 144 . The real face of police department comes to surface right from SPOs to officers , they leave no opportunity to harass commoners.here I am using the word commoners because the powerful / influential that be are exempted from any kind of restriction and the brunt of the excesses of police walas fall upon the poor common masses.i personally started hating police walas now because they filled the minds of common people with terrors .
Infact both police walas and doctors need to be punished severely on disciplinary grounds and both are playing victims card.
Wish my opinion may get access to authority at helm of affairs in UT LADKAH and some kind of constructive mechanism may frame out in future to stop these excessive misuse of power and privilege
