IKMT Paid Tribute to General Qassem Solemani

Kargil/ Jan. 3: On the first “martyrdom anniversary” of General Qasem Solemani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis four days long programme to commemorate the “martyrs of Islam” were held in Kargil. The congregation held alongside the Ayaam-e-Fatmia (SA) under the banner of Imam Khomieni Memorial Trust Kargil (IKMT).

In this connection prose and poetic tributes were paid on Thursday, in a Majlis Muqala wa Shaer Khowani organized by the Bzam-e-Adab, Literary wing of IKMT at the Convention Hall of Imam Khomieni Tower Kargil. On Friday a congregation and Fatiha Khowni for the merit of the souls of these martyrs was held at the Musala-e-Imam Khomieni Minji by Baseej-i-Ruhaniun, IKMT, where speakers highlighted the philosophy of martyrdom and paid rich tribute to the Martyrs General Qasem Solemani, Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis and veteran Islamic Scholar, Marjae Taqleed Ayatullah Misbah Yezdi on his demise.

On Saturday a weeklong impressive Photo Exhibition was inaugurated at the Convention Hall of Imam Khomieni Tower by Hojjatul Islam Shiekh Mohammad Muhaqiq, the Chairman Guardian Council, IKMT Kargil. This Exhibition was exclusively arranged by The Clergy Wing, Baseej-i-Ruhaniun of IKMT Kargil wherein photographs covering the lives of Martyr General Qasim Solemani and Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis as well as other Martyrs like Mugnia, Fahmeeda, Chamran and Mohsin Hojjaji. The stalls displaying images of the life of Qasim Sulaimani and replica of Zareh of Hazrat Zainab(SA), attracted and moved every one. A video presentation on the life and works of martyrs were also presented on this occasion.

On Sunday the concluding programme was held in the Convention Hall (South Wing) which was presided by Hojjatul Islam Shiekh Mohammad Sadiq Rajai, Chairman Imam Khomieni Memorial Trust Kargil where in hundreds of people attended. The programme started with recitation of verses from the Holy Quran. During the course Hojjatul Islam Shiekh Bashir Shakir, Vice Chaiman IKMT in his address stated that Haj Qasim Solaimani had dedicated his life for the oppressed people. He also remembered Martyr Shiekh Baqir Alnmir, on his anniversary who was executed by Saudi Regime for raising his voice for the oppressed.

Haji Asgar Ali Karbalai, Ex MLA paid glowing tribute to the martyrs and condemned US arrogance and utter disregard to international law in martyring the Generals and Commanders of the regular forces of sovereign states, who were instrumental in illuminating the Daesh (ISIS) terror from Middle East and saving the humanity from evil of terrorism.

Students of Mutahhary Schools, Baseej-e-Imam groups enthralled audiences with Taranas in praise of the martyrs. In his concluding Speech the Chairman IKMT paid Condolences to Imam Zaman (ATF), the Supreme Leader Ayatullah Khamenai and the upright nation of Islamic Republic of Iran and Iraq on this occasion from the people of Kargil and said that the Martyred never die as their pious blood cause to nourish the plant of their holy cause. He reiterated that the best tribute to the martyrs is to follow their line. The programme was conducted by Molana Abass Krari.

It is pertinent to remind that last year on January 3rd, General Qasem Solemani, the commander of the Quds Force of Iran’s Islamic Revolution Guards Corps (IRGC), and his Iraqi trench mate Abu Mahdi al-Muhandis, the deputy head of the Popular Mobilization Units (Hashd-u-Shabi) of Iraq, were assassinated along with their companions in a U.S. terror drone strike authorized by Donald Trump near Baghdad International Airport. Both commanders were admired by Muslims for their role in eliminating the U.S. sponsored Daesh (ISIS) terrorist group in the Middle East, particularly in Iraq and Syria. The U.S. assassination had drawn a wave of condemnation from Muslims and Non Muslims throughout the world, and triggered huge public protests across the region. Spontaneous outrage was also observed in Kargil and Leh in Ladakh at that time which culminated with symbolic Jinaza procession in Kargil under the banner of Imam Khomieni Memorial Trust Kargil.
