Adm. Secy. Tourism & Culture, Inspects Sindhu Ghat for 28th Sindhu Darshan Yatra

Leh, June 11The Administrative Secretary of Tourism and Culture, UT Ladakh, Vikram Singh Malik, conducted an inspection of Sindhu Ghat in preparation for the upcoming 28th Sindhu Darshan Yatra. The visit aimed to review the venue and evaluate the arrangements being made for the important and prestigious event.

Secretary Vikram Malik examined the infrastructure and facilities at Sindhu Ghat, ensuring that all necessary measures are in place for the comfort and convenience of the pilgrims and visitors. He emphasized the importance of maintaining cleanliness and safety standards throughout the event.

The Secretary highlighted the collaborative efforts of various departments in organizing the event and ensuring its success. Sindhu Darshan Yatra is a significant cultural and spiritual festival that attracts participants from across the country and beyond and the yatra symbolizes the rich cultural heritage and communal harmony of the region, he added.

Secretary Vikram Malik interacted with the officials and urged them to expedite any pending tasks. He directed the concerned officers to put water dispensers for safe drinking water, hygiene and sanitation, and publicity of the event on time. He also reviewed the approach roads, and logistical support to be provided during the yatra.

The Administrative Secretary was accompanied by the District Magistrate, Leh; Superintendent of Police, Leh; Superintendent of Police, Security, Leh; Assistant Deputy Commissioner, Leh; Superintendent Engineer of the Power Development Department, Leh; Deputy Secretary of Culture Academy, Leh; Executive Engineer, PWD (Construction Division) Leh; Assistant Director of Information Department, Leh; Assistant Regional Transport Officer, Leh; Executive Engineer of Public Health Engineering, Leh; OSD Tourism to the Administrative Secretary; Officer of the Municipal Committee, Leh; Representatives from Sindhu Darshan Yatra Samiti; and officers from concerned departments.
