MD NHM Ladakh, Dr. Motup Dorje visits various health facilities in Kargil

Kargil, April 26: Mission Director, National Health Mission, UT Ladakh, Dr. Motup Dorje today conducted a comprehensive visit to various health facilities in Kargil.

He was accompanied by Dr. Liyaqat, CMO Kargil, Dr Iqbal SIO, Dr Iqbal SSO, Dr Rinchan Consultant RCH, Stanzin Gyalaks, SPO, Dr. Abbas DTO, Dr Rabia DHO, Dr Fatima Nodal Officer DMHP, Dr Zahida BMO Sankoo, SPMU, DPMU team & other healthcare professionals, Dr. Dorje’s visit aimed to ensure the optimal functioning of healthcare services and to address the needs of the local population.

During the visit, the MD NHM and his team meticulously inspected several health facilities across Sankoo Block, including CHC Sankoo, as well as AAM SC in Thasgam, Barsoo, Shargandi, Taikat, Pangbar, and Itchoo.

Their assessments encompassed various operational aspects such as register maintenance of RCH, NCD, IDSP, AEFI, JAS meeting, tele-consultation services, ambulance services and financial records.

Dr. Dorje emphasized the importance of maintaining accurate records and urged healthcare personnel to strive for excellence in service delivery. He underscored the significance of aligning online and offline data systems, particularly for NCD screening and RCH programs.
He stressed the need to raise awareness about emergency services, particularly the availability of 108 Ambulance services and directed CHOs to lead informational campaigns under IEC initiatives.

The MD NHM interacted with patients and attendants at CHC Sankoo and addressed specific needs at each facility visited.
Notably, at AAM SC Itchoo, he trekked for more than two hours to engage with villagers and emphasized the importance of identifying land for a Health Centre within a week.

His dedication to enhancing healthcare services in every corner of Ladakh, including remote areas like Itchoo, reflects his unwavering commitment to the well-being of the local populace.

Dr. Motup Dorje has directed BMOs to regularly visit their block’s health facilities to oversee progress reports and other health center programs.
