LBA Vice President Opposes Pulga Rinpoche’s Nomination: Alleges Disruption of Unity

VoL Desk, April 19: Tsering Dorje Lakruk, the Vice President of Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA) and a senior member of the Leh Apex body, voiced his opposition in a press conference held in Leh regarding the filling of nomination paper by Pulga Rinpoche (a Buddhist religious leader) for the Ladakh Buddhist Association’s president election.

He stressed that no lama could contest the election for the post due to the constitution of the Ladakh Buddhist Association (LBA). He also objected that Pulga Rinpoche is basically a Tibetan and has no connection with Ladakh.

He also alleged that Pulga Rinpoche had misused the position of Rinpoche to file nominations. He said that his move was a deep plot to break the apex body unity. Because even earlier Pulga Rinpoche had expressed his objection to being a part of the Apex body.
