GNM Kargil students suffer in absence of any governing council – SEMoK

VoL Desk, April 23: The President of Student Education Movement of Kargil (SEMoK) in a letter to the District Commissioner/Chief Executive Officer highlighted the concerns regarding the problem faced by the students of the General Nursing Midwifery (GNM) school in Kargil district.

In his letter to the DC he said that before the bifurcation of the erstwhile J&K State, the GNM fall under the Jammu & Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examination (JKBOPEE) but after the formation of the UT the GNM program is yet to be registered under any body for registration and examination as no any new governing council has been formed.

Beside this, from the last two years the examination of the said programme has not been conducted hampering students’ academic career and future.

He alleged that despite continuous appeal to the responsible authorities the issue has not been resolved for which he request DC for his intervention in the matter for early resolution of the matter as soon as possible.

In his another letter to the Chief Executive councilor, Kargil he has requested to take the matter with the JKBOPEE to conduct the examination until Ladakh Para Medical Council do not get registered under any council so that students may not get suffer for examination and registration.
