Kargil, March 28, 2024: Tehsildar Kargil, Tanveer Ahmed conducted SVEEP (Systematic Voters’ Education and Electoral Participation) awareness program at Hr. Sec School Choskor (Polling Station Grong Choskor).

The program was aimed to sensitize and aware the voters about the significance of taking part in the electoral process as the Election Cell has identified polling station with the low voters turnout in the past in comparison to other Polling Stations in the district.

Similarly, on March 27 Tehsildar Kargil conducted another SVEEP awareness camp at Karkitchoo Panchayat Ghar. The participants were informed about the right to vote and they were equipped with basic knowledge related to the electoral process.

SVEEP is the flagship program of the Election Commission of India for voter education, spreading voter awareness and promoting voter literacy in India.
