Comm. Secy., Higher Edu. visits Government Degree College, Khaltsi

Leh, Mar. 14: The Commissioner/Secretary of Higher Education for UT Ladakh, Padma Angmo, paid a visit to Government Degree College, Khaltse, showcasing the commitment to education and development in the region.

The Principal of the College, Prof. Stanzin Yangdol, extended a warm welcome to Commissioner/Secretary Padma Angmo presented traditional khataks, and offered an insightful overview of the college’s journey since its establishment.

A comprehensive presentation by student Dolma Tsondus, provided an overview of various academic and non-academic events held at the college, showcasing the vibrant student life and activities. The presentation was followed by a soulful group song performance by the students, adding a cultural touch to the event.

In her address to the gathering, Commissioner/Secretary Padma Angmo expressed her admiration for the holistic development and substantial growth of the college. She engaged with faculty members and students, offering valuable insights into the strengths and challenges of the institution while outlining opportunities for further growth and enhancement.

Commissioner/Secretary Padma Angmo also visited the new campus at Zerthang, engaging with students and faculty members to gain a firsthand understanding of the facilities and infrastructure.

The students expressed heartfelt gratitude for the opportunities provided by the college, particularly praising the Skill Course offerings that allowed them to develop personally and professionally.

Both faculty members and students conveyed their appreciation for Commissioner/Secretary Padma Angmo’s visit and her invaluable words of encouragement and support. The program concluded with a vote of thanks delivered by Assistant Professor of Environmental Sciences, Deachen Angmo.
