Karbalai Responds to MP Ladakh’s Statement on Four-Point Agenda

VoL Desk, Feb. 15: In response to the statement made by the MP of Ladakh regarding the draft submitted to the Ministry of Home Affairs (MHA), Co-Chairman of the Kargil Democratic Alliance, Haji Asgar Ali Karbalai, emphasized that the content of the Ladakh leader’s draft is transparent and well-known to all, consisting of a four-point agenda. He highlighted that this agenda has been reiterated at public rallies, discussed in numerous meetings with the MHA, and outlined in press releases.

Karbalai asserted that the MP of Ladakh appears to be frustrated following the widespread agitation across Ladakh on February 3, which demanded the fulfillment of the region’s four-point agenda.

He clarified that Ladakh’s four-point agenda is not a confidential matter, comprising provisions for safeguarding under the Sixth Schedule, attaining full-fledged statehood, securing separate Lok Sabha seats for Leh and Kargil, obtaining a Rajya Sabha seat for Ladakh, and establishing a Public Services Commission to facilitate the timely recruitment of gazette posts.
