Kargil, Feb 05: The Deputy Commissioner/District Election Officer (DEO), Kargil Shrikant Suse, convened a meeting of the concerned officers to take stock of the provision of the Assured Minimum Facilities (AMFs) at the Polling Stations in the district.

The Dy. District Election Officer Kargil, Dr. Khanzada Mohd Usman informed the meeting about the Accessibility arrangements and AMF Status of the Polling Stations as per the reports submitted by the concerned SDMs/Tehsildars and other Nodal Officers.

During the meeting, the status of buildings, availability of drinking water, ramp facilities, electricity, toilet facilities, and wheel chair facilities for PwDs voters and senior citizens at various polling stations were discussed in threadbare.

The DC/DEO stressed for making timely preparations and completing the Accessibility and AMF of the Polling Stations in all respects for facilitating the electors.

Shrikant also directed the SDMs/Tehsildars to conduct physical verification of the polling stations in their jurisdiction and ensure the availability of all assured minimum facilities, so as to ensure that no voter or poll staff faces any kind of difficulty. Discussion also held on vulnerability mapping of polling stations.

The meeting was also attended by SDM Zanskar Romil Singh Donk (through VC), SDM Shakar Chiktan, A. G Zargar, DySP Hq, Manzoor Ahmad, AD DIPR Kargil, Padma Angmo, Exen PDD Kargil, Tehsildars, BDOs, AEE PHE, SHOs and other concerned officers.
