VoL Desk, Jan. 06: Apex Body Leh, called on a press conference, raising their concern over the recruitment policy of University of Ladakh (UoL), regarding teaching and non-teaching posts.

During the press conference, Ashraf Barcha said that without the finalization of amendment of UoL’s act, the opening of the recruitment for the teaching and non-teaching staffs is inappropriate and until this amendment is not gets finalized the recruitment should be postponed.

He also added that there is ambiguity over the Schedule Tribe (ST) seats, and it needs to be clear. Because the posts can be applied by STs of Jammu & Kashmir. So, without finalizing the ST seats for the Ladakhi’s such recruitment is very disappointing.

He states that until these two issues are not get resolved, the interview should be postponed. If not done, it will have detrimental consequences over the Ladakhi’s.
