PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Kargil Celebrates Children’s Day and Annual Day

Kargil, Nov 14: Executive Councilor, Social Welfare, LAHDC, Kargil, Aga Syed Mujtaba Mussavi today attended Children’s Day and Annual Day celebrations of PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya in Trespone, Kargil as Chief Guest.

Joint Director, Information, Ladakh, Imteeaz Kacho; Executive Director KREDA, Kacho Ahmed Khan; DGM Chhutuk Hydroelectric Plant, Lakesh Kumar; GSM Chhutuk Hydroelectric Plant, S.R. Naidu; Principal HSS Trespone, Muhammad Hadi; Principal PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Kargil; Principal Jawahar Navodaya Vidyalaya Khumbuthang, Kargil, VMC members, staff members, students, parents and other guests were present on the occasion.

The school celebrated Children’s Day with enthusiasm and zeal to commemorate the birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru, the first Prime Minister of independent India.

On the occasion, the chief guest Syed Mussavi appreciated the untiring efforts of the school management and congratulated the students for their performances. He gave away prizes to students who had excelled in various activities.

While speaking on the occasion, Joint Director, Information, Ladakh, Imteeaz Kacho extended best wishes to the students on the occasion of Children’s Day. While commending the school administration for elevating academic standards, he acknowledged parents and local residents for their pivotal role in the school’s progress. The collaborative effort between school and community was underscored as instrument in achieving new heights of academic excellence.

While addressing the students, he urged readiness for life’s challenges and advised them to inculcate reading habits for comprehensive student development. He emphasized on the transformative power of books aimed at fostering a well-rounded educational experience. Encouraging a holistic approach to education, Kacho advised students to engage in co-curricular activities consistently. The Joint Director stressed on time management aimed at fostering discipline and maximizing the educational journey for enhanced academic growth.

During his address, Executive Director KREDA, Kacho Ahmed Khan thanked the school authorities for organizing the Children’s Day and Annual Day function and expressed satisfaction on behalf of all parents. He threw light on the need to inculcate moral values among children and also on the need to regulate use of mobile phones by children at home.

On the occasion, Principal PM Shri Kendriya Vidyalaya Kargil, Phunsuk Wangyal briefed about the annual report of the school. He also highlighted the challenges faced by the school. He assured that the school will leave no stone unturned towards holistic development of the students of the school.

During the event, other speakers also lauded Jawaharlal Nehru’s role, offering diverse suggestions for the school’s advancement. Their collective insights showcased a commitment to furthering progress and development of the institution.

During the event, impressive solo dances, cultural dances, cultural songs, skits, etc. were presented by the students. The distinguished students were honored with prizes and certificates of appreciation and recognition. The teachers made the occasion memorable for the students with special gifts.
