Kargil, Nov 03, 2023: Executive Councillor, Education, LAHDC, Kargil, Zakir Hussain today visited Govt. Primary School Yokma Akchamal to review education facilities and infrastructure.

The visit was aimed to assess the current state of school, focusing on essential aspects like water supply, sanitation, building infrastructure, enrollment and shortage of teachers.

During the visit, the Executive Councillor expressed concern over the prevailing conditions at the school, emphasizing the importance of quality education and need for adequate resources.

The Executive Councillor observed that the school needs reliable water supply, which is crucial for maintaining a clean and hygienic environment for both students and staff.

He raised the concern about the state of sanitation facilities within the school premises. The EC highlighted the urgency of improving the physical infrastructure to create a conducive learning environment.

The EC also reviewed the current student enrollment figures and identified the need to increase in roll and promote education in the area.

Furthermore, he assured the villagers that he will take up issue with concerned authorities and stakeholders to address the same. He assured that the Govt. Primary School Yokma Akchamal will get resources to enhance quality education. He also emphasized the need for swift action to address the issues identified during the review.
