Kargil, Nov. 12: Executive Councilor (I&FC/PHE/Tourism/KDA/ZDA/Urban Dev/Revenue/CAD/Fisheries) LAHDC, Kargil, Kacho Mohammad Feroz on Friday chaired a meeting to discuss various developmental activities of town area.

Chief Engineer R&B Ladakh, Abdul Mutalib, Director Urban Local Bodies Ladakh, Tahir Hussain Zubdavi, Superintending Engineer PHE and I&FC Maqbool Hussain, Councilor Town, Haji Abass, Councilor Baroo-Minji, Khadim Husain other officials attended the meeting.

During the meeting, detailed discussions were held on various ongoing developmental and new proposed projects were held upon, which mainly included the renovation and restoration of Apo Bazar Kargil, construction of sewerage plants at various locations in town area, construction of mechanized multi car parking building, uninterrupted electric supply during the winter season and other issues were discussed.

The EC directed the concerned officers to work in close coordination with each other to avoid duplicity of works. He further instructed all the officers to take Councilors and public representatives in confidence before executing developmental works.

During the meeting, abutment of bridge near Iqbal Hydro Project Dam was also discussed. He also directed Chief Project Engineer PDC Kargil and Assistant Commissioner Revenue and Exen R&B to jointly visit at proposed site to resolve the land issue. He also directed to identify the land required for construction of abutment and approach road for the bridge.
