UT Ladakh Seeks Public Input on “Compulsory Registration of Marriages Regulations 2022” Draft
VoL Desk, September 12: In a recent notification, the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh has announced the availability of the “Compulsory Registration of Marriages (Ladakh) Regulations, 2022” for public objections and suggestions.
These regulations will come into effect once approved by the Lieutenant Governor of UT Ladakh and published in the Official Gazette. To ensure transparency and public engagement, the draft regulation is now open for public feedback.
Interested parties are encouraged to review the draft regulation during the 30-day period starting from the date of its public release. Any objections or suggestions can be submitted to the Social & Tribal Welfare Department, Old JNV Building, UT Secretariat, UT of Ladakh, or via email at stw-ladakh@ladakh.gov.in.

All received objections and suggestions will be considered by the Administration of the Union Territory of Ladakh as they work towards finalizing these regulations.

These regulations need to be strictly checked through involvement of large number of intellectuals of ladakh, as the same pertains to future of people of Ladakh and to theor social Life .
Need a highly correct alteration in the formation of such laws suitable to all stata of life .
