LG Engages with Officials and Delegations in Kargil, Addresses Developmental Concerns

VoL Desk, July 26: The Hon’ble Lieutenant Governor, Brigadier (Dr) BD Mishra, had significant discussions with various officials and delegations in Kargil, addressing a range of developmental issues in the district.

During a meeting at Raj Niwas, Sh. Feroz Ahmad Khan, the Hon’ble Chief Executive Councillor of Kargil, engaged in talks with the Lt. Governor about several developmental matters concerning the district.

Subsequently, Sheikh Nazir-ul-Mehdi, President of Anjuman-e-Jamiat-ul-Ulma Isna Asharia in Kargil, also met with the Hon’ble Lt. Governor at Raj Niwas. They held discussions on various issues relevant to Kargil’s progress and development.

Several public and private delegations sought the attention of the Hon’ble Lt. Governor at Raj Niwas, Kargil, and made requests regarding specific concerns. These included demands for reservations for persons with disabilities and sub-categories for various district posts, compassionate appointments in the police and other departments, sanctioning of a lift irrigation system in Tingdoo, and the construction of PHC Shargole. They also discussed steps for further empowerment of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRIs).

Responding proactively, the Hon’ble Lt. Governor provided necessary directions to the concerned department secretaries for appropriate actions to address the raised issues.

Highlighting the significance of effective communication, the Lt. Governor emphasized the importance of channeling major developmental matters through the proper channels. This involves utilizing the representatives of the Panchayati Raj Institutions (PRI) and the respective area Councilors of the Ladakh Autonomous Hill Development Councils (LAHDCs).
