His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s Arrival in Leh Postponed Due to Bad Weather

News Desk, July 8: The scheduled arrival of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama in Leh has been postponed until tomorrow due to adverse weather conditions prevailing in the region, confirmed reliable sources from Leh. The decision comes in light of the ongoing inclement weather affecting flight operations in the area.

As per the latest update, the flight from New Delhi carrying His Holiness the Dalai Lama will be rescheduled for tomorrow, subject to favorable weather conditions, and will be permitted to land between 9:00 AM to 10:30 AM.

The Dalai Lama embarked on his journey from Dharamsala to Ladakh earlier morning on July 8. Devotees and well-wishers had eagerly gathered along the streets, awaiting his arrival to extend their warm greetings.

During his visit, the Dalai Lama will deliver teachings on the mornings of July 21, 22, and 23 at the Shewatsel Teaching Ground near Choglamsar, in response to requests made by the Ladakh Buddhist Association and the Ladakh Gonpa Association. The focus of his teachings on July 21 and 22 will center around Gyalsey Thokme Sangpo’s “37 Practices of a Bodhisattva.”

In addition to the teachings, His Holiness is expected to pay visits to various locations, including Lamdon School, Khaltsi, and the picturesque Nubra Valley, further enhancing the significance of his visit to Ladakh.

The rescheduled arrival of the Dalai Lama is eagerly awaited by devotees and followers in Leh, who are looking forward to receiving his profound teachings and seeking his blessings during his stay in the region.
