Deadly Avalanche Hits Zojila Pass, Several Vehicles Buried Under Snow

VoL Desk, April 16: In a breaking development, a deadly snow avalanche has hit the Zojila Pass, burying several vehicles under the snow near Shaitan Nala. The incident has caused widespread panic and concern among locals and travelers in the area.

The exact number of vehicles buried under the snow is currently unknown, and rescue operations are underway to locate and evacuate any survivors.

The Kargil Police and BRO were deployed at Minamarg, where they successfully rescued six individuals who were trapped in the avalanche. Additionally, they were able to recover vehicles that had been buried by the massive snowslide at Shaitan Nallah, tweeted SSP Kargil, Anayat Ali Chowdhary.
