CEC holds meeting with, Controller Examination UoL, Principal GDC Kargil, Student Council

Kargil, March 23, 2023: Chairman/CEC, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmed Khan today held a meeting in his office with Controller of Examination and Dean Academic Affairs, University of Ladakh, Principal, GDC Kargil and Student Council of the college.

At the outset of the meeting, Controller of Examination and Dean Academic Affairs Prof. Deskyong Namgyal briefed about the status of the result process. He also talked about N.A and L.O cases and other issues. He also informed that the result of 5th semester has been declared.

While briefing about the 3rd Semester results, he said around 107 N.A cases have been found, which are under the process of scrutinization.

During the meeting, Principal GDC Kargil, Dr Amina Quari informed the chair that most of the NA cases were found absent during the inquiry.

The CEC instructed the concerned to crosscheck the examination attendance sheet for verification. He also directed the department to rectify the mistakes and to ensure to minimize human and technological errors in the future.

During the discussion, the Student Council requested for early redressal of issues faced by the students regarding examinations and other issues.

The Student Council also requested the concerned authorities to look into the matter of N.A. and L.O cases as it may affect their academic year.

During the meeting, it was decided to cross-check the N.A cases before the results are declared in the future to minimize the errors.

The Student Council also requested to reconsider the matter of fees dues for the re-evaluation and the charges at the examination centres. The CEC gave a patient hearing and assured them to look into the matter at the individual level.
