Army provide artifical limb to disabled porters

VoL Desk, Jan. 12: Kargil Sentinels Brigade in a noble initiative under OP SADBHAVANA arranged for fitment of artificial limb for disabled porters in Kargil, read a press release issued by the Brigade.

The Army provide artificial limb to Mr Mohd Ishaq resident of village Karkit, Budgam, Kargil who lost his left foot on 11 Oct 1999 and Mr Tahir Ali resident of village Hardas, Kargil who lost his left lower leg on 26 Aug 2017 while fetching stores. Both the individual were rendered disabled as their limbs were amputated post blasts.

Indian Army under Operation Sadbhavana in collaboration with Delhi based firm “College Park Healthcare India Pvt Ltd”, undertook complete expenses including air travel, lodging, food, trials amd state of the art artificial limb with latest technology was implanted to these two beneficiaries.

Both the individuals are now able to perform their daily duties in exemplary manner.

The locals and the civil administration appreciated the effort of Indian Army & referred this as a great step towards amelioration of the conditions of the disabled persons and will be instrumental in providing them proper Physical, Social, and Economic Rehabilitation opportunity to earn their livelihood.
