Ladakh Admin. upgrade three police posts to Police Station
VoL Desk, Dec. 09: The Home Department, Union Territory of Ladakh in a notification has accorded sanction for the upgradation of three Police Posts in Ladakh including two in District Kargil to Police Station.
“In exercise of the powers conferred by clause (s) of section 2 of the Code of Criminal Procedure, 1973, sanction is hereby accorded to the upgradation of: Police Post, Khaltsi to Police Station, Khaltsi, Police Post, Panikhar to Police Station, Panikhar and Police Post, Wakha to Police Station, Wakha”, read the notification.
The territorial jurisdiction of the above Police Stations is notified as Annexure-A to the said Notification, with their areas of jurisdiction specified in the corresponding entries in Column (2) thereof, for the purpose of registration and investigation of all offences.
