VoL Desk, July 13: Office of the Registrar, Leh, University of Ladakh in a fresh order has cancelled the appointment of newly appointed Registrar, Dr. Manish Dev Sharma as his service credentials and academic experiences found ineligible for the post, maintained an order said to be issued from University of Ladakh.

The varsity in the above said order No. 176-UOL of 2022, Dated 13.07.2022 maintained that the Selection Committee chaired by Vice Chancellor had selected Dr. Manish Dev Sharma, son of Mr. T.R. Sharma residence of Punjab as Registrar of University of Ladakh.

Whereas, vide a letter of even number dated 10.06.2022, Dr. Manish Dev Sharma was informed about his appointment and was requested to join within one month and submit the original documents relating to age, qualifications and experience, etc. at the time of joining.

On not receiving the relevant documents/ information on time (even after joining), a committee was constituted vide Order No. 171-UOL of 2022 dated 07.07.2022 for verification of original documents related to educational qualification, age, academic services, where it was found that his service credentials/academic experience are not at par with the eligibility criteria notified through the advertisement notice dated 27.04.2022.

Therefore, appointment of Dr. Manish Dev Sharma, as Registrar, University of Ladakh is hereby cancelled.
