VoL Desk, July 21: Department of Physical Education and Sports, Government Degree College, Khaltse organised Intramural Chess Competition on International Chess Day 2022 with the theme “Women in Chess” on 20-07-2022.

The programme was formally welcomed by Mr. Sonam Chosphail, College Director of Physical Education and Sports. He encouraged the students to participate in such events which will boost their morale to take maximum participation in sports along with academics.

Around ten students of the college participated in the said event. The final match was played between Dolma Tsondus of 3rd Semester and  Padma Angmo of  1st semester on 21st  of July 2022, in which Dolma Tsondus of semester 3rd secured 1st  position, Padma Angmo of 1st semester secured 2nd  position and   Dechen Dolkar of  3rd semester  secured 3rd position.

The winners were felicitated with certificates and prizes by the organising committee. The programme was concluded with the vote of thanks by Ms Stanzin Deldan, Assistant Professor, English.
