Leh, June 3: A Rangoli competition was organised to celebrate the World Environment Day at Leh Campus (Taru), University of Ladakh on June 3. The theme for the day was ‘Only One Earth’.

The objective of the Rangoli Competition was to create awareness about protection of Environment.

The event saw the participation of students from the 10 Departments of Leh Campus.

The first position was bagged by Forensic Science Department, second by Police Administration Department and the third position by History Department. 

Vice Chancellor, University of Ladakh, Prof. S. K. Mehta and Dr. O.P Chaurasia, Director, DIHAR Leh, distributed the prizes among the winners.

Director, Leh Campus,Konchok Angmo; Dean Research, UoL, Dr. Sonam Joldan; Dean Students Welfare, UoL, Dr. Jigmat Dachen and other faculty members were present during the prize distribution ceremony.

The event was organised by the B.Ed Department of the Leh Campus.
