Ruling party ignites communal issues in Country, Ladakh to divert attention from real public issues – Sheikh Bashir

VoL Desk, April 08, 2022: Speaking about the alleged hatred created towards Muslims in the country and also in Ladakh Vice-President for Religious Affairs, Imam Khomeini Memorial Trust, Kargil Sheikh Bashir Shakir said that the situation in the country is being communalised to divert attention from real public issues.

Sheikh Bashir while speaking on the occasion of Friday prayers, said that the situation is worsened over the minorities on the pretext of hijab, Azan, Halal meat and minarets of the mosque with the intention to spoil the peaceful and religious harmony in the country to divert attention from inflation, rising fuel prices and other public issues.

Emphasising the previous statement that was allegedly misinterpreted by the Member of Parliament from Ladakh, Jamyang Tsering Namgyal, Sheikh Bashir said that all the statements given on the Gonpa row had similar connotations while only IKMT statement was misinterpreted and targeted. It was accused that the speech provoked the public, however, the speech is still available on YouTube where I had said that Kargil is a peaceful place where minorities have been treated with respect. The speech was misinterpreted to provoke the minorities against the majority.

This is intentionally made to create hatred among the public. Because, since last two years people in Leh and Kargil are suffered from various issues. The Apex Body (Leh) and KDA are jointly working to address these issues. Thus, to create a divide among these groups these issues have been provoked among the public.

The Kashmir file was also made with the intention to create hatred against Muslims where the facts were omitted and lies have been propagated. Moreover, the film was made tax free to encourage people to watch the film. Last days in Sitapur a man in the garb of a Hindu priest openly threatened Muslim women with molestation which is very unfortunate for a religious person.

The girls of the Sikh community in Jammu were also targeted and asked not to attend school with headcovers. In Ladakh also these types of intentional events are taking place. I repeat once again that the public must be aware and must act according to the leaders and not go beyond them. We shall always stand by the Apex Body and KDA to resolve the issues of Ladakh, maintained Sheikh Bashir.

Speaking on the recently passed private bill for the inclusion of “Bhoti” language in the Eighth Schedule of the Indian Constitution by the MP Ladakh, Sheikh Bashir said that there is no language called “Bhoti”. If the MP is serious about Ladakh issues he must have raised unemployment, delay in recruitment, delayed results, disappointed youth and their future prospects.

He emphasised that Bhoti is not a language. In the 7th century a man named Thonmi Sambota on the instruction of the king of Tibet develop a script that later came to be known as Egay. The script is used to write Tibetan in Tibet, Balti in Baltistan and Ladakhi in Ladakh. The people must understand the wicked plot behind this move.

Moreover, despite being in the ruling party the MP Ladakh placed a private bill like an MP of the opposition party. Being in the ruling party he must have passed a public bill for this cause, Sheikh Bashir added. He appealed to stop befooling the public and creating hatred among different communities.
