VoL Desk, April 01, 2022: An awareness cum councelling programme on Prevention of Drug/ substance abuse among children and adolescents and illicit trafficking was conducted today with chemists of Kargil town.

The event was organised by the Drug and Food Control Organisation at Drugs and Food Control office, Inqilab Manzil, Qatilgah, Kargil.

The In-charge Drugs Controller, Union Territory of Ladakh, Mohammad Bashir and Drugs Control Officer, Kargil Mumtaz Ahmad were the key speakers.

The speakers awareness the Chemists about auditing, checking and monitoring of misuse of drugs and substances among children and adolescents.

The awareness program was followed by an interactive question and answer session.

Incharge Drugs Control, UT Ladakh, Mr Mohammad Bashir informed that similar awareness programme are in pipeline for Block level in District Kargil.
