CEC Feroz Khan chairs meeting with newly appointed Superintending Engineer

KARGIL, MARCH 17, 2022: Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor (CEC), LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan today chaired a review meeting with the newly appointed Superintending Engineer, Nissar Ahmad Bagh at Council Secretariat.

Deputy Commissioner and CEO LAHDC Kargil, Santosh Sukhadeve, Superintending Engineer Nissar Ahmad Bagh, Assistant Commissioner Revenue, Abdul Ghaffar Zargar, Executive Engineer R&B Kacho Mehmood Ali Khan, Executive Officer Municipal Committee Shafaqat Ali, Executive Engineer SVD Syed Mehdi, Executive Engineer Mechanical Department Muhammad Hassan, and Chief Inspector FCS&CA attended the meeting.

The newly appointed SE suggested various measures to decongest the Kargil town.

He further proposed to develop all government offices at Council Secretariat to provide one stop service to the public. 

For the said purpose, he assumed to develop an additional storey at the Council building to accommodate all the offices.

He further suggested developing the new SE Office at Council Secretariat and changing the current office at Baroo to residential quarters.

The SE further appraised the CEC about scope of developing a maintenance wing, to develop new winter friendly buildings and guest house at Leh to facilitate the officers and public from Kargil on their official duty.

CEC Khan instructed the SE to provide a master plan for the Council Secretariat to provide one stop service.

He further instructed on development of Hussaini Park as paid parking and instructed to execute work as soon as possible.

Khan also discussed the development of Kargil house in Jammu and Srinagar.

Deputy Commissioner Kargil also endorsed the suggestions of the SE and emphasised over decongestion of the town and to provide open space in the market.

DC Santosh further discussed the development of Sarai-cum-Office at Leh to accommodate the government officials during duty at Leh.
