KARGIL, FEBRUARY 03, 2022: Former senior consultant gynecologist, District Hospital Kargil, Dr Kaneez Fatima Kacho passed away Wednesday at Jammu.

Kaneez Fatima served selflessly for the people of Kargil for at least 33 years from 1985 to 2018. Kaneez Fatima was the first female gynecologist from District Kargil.

She was the wife of Ex Surgeon Specialist, District Hospital Kargil, Dr Mohammad Hussain Kacho. On her death, district hospital Kargil paid rich tribute in an event held here in Kargil today.

Dr Fatima Nissa Gynecologist and colleague of Dr Kaneez said that she attended call duties till the last day of her retirement and remains at the front to serve the community.

Dr Kacho Liyaqat Ali Khan Superintendent District Hospital Kargil talking on behalf of all the staff paid condolence to the bereaved family particularly her husband Dr Kacho Mohammad Hussain. He said that Dr Kaneez Joined in 1985 at District Hospital Kargil and served the people till her retirement.

Late Dr Kaneez Fatima Kacho was the first Gynecologist of Kargil posted at District Hospital Kargil who was a beacon of light for those girls who want to pursue their career in the field of Medical.
