AKSAD conducts swearing-in ceremony for newly elected Executive Body

DELHI, JANUARY 13, 2022: The newly elected Executive Body of the All Kargil (Ladakh) Students’ Association Delhi (AKSAD) sworn in as new office bearers of the organization in an event held here at Delhi today.

Considering the soaring Covid cases in the city, only AKSAD Advisory Board, a few senior members, and the newly elected Executive Body attended the event.

Pertinent to mention that, earlier, the office of the Election Board, Advisory Body of the organization maintained that the new Executive Body was formed uncontested due to nominations being filled by one candidate for each executive post.

“It is notified to you all that we received one candidate for each post except for Finance Secretary post wherein two nominations were filled. Later one of the candidates withdrew his nomination”, announced the Advisory Body in a notice.

“Thus, having nominations being filled by one candidate for each individual executive post, therefore, the new executive body will be formed uncontested.

The executive members of AKSAD for the year 2022 – 23 are Mohammad Ismail – President, Asghar Ali – Vice President, Naseema Banoo – General Secretary, Afzal Hussain – Finance Secretary, and Mudassir Hussain – Media Coordinator.

As per the bylaws of AKSAD, the following posts will be nominated by the aforementioned executives: Cultural Secretary, Female Representative, Health Secretary, and Joint Secretary.

During the swearing-in ceremony, former President Saif Ali Khan appraised the organization about various events, incomes, expenditures, etc during his tenure. He further submitted and hand over the accounts and files of the organization to the newly elected Executive Body.

Speaking on the occasion, new President Mohammad Ismail and member Advisory Body Feroz Ahmad Rabbani expressed resentment over the exclusion of Urdu language as a criterion for employees of the revenue department. The Organisation appealed to the UT Administration to rethink the move.
