KARGIL, AUGUST 14, 2021: In a first of its kind initiative for unique appearance of Zanskar town Executive Councilor for Tourism and Zanskar Affairs Er Punchok Tashi distributed polycarbonate sign boards for departments, shops and hotels at Padum here today.

150 sign boards have been purchased by PWD Zanskar at a cost of Rs 10 lakhs under the District Capex Budget.

For distinct and unique appearance of Padum town, every sign board has been designed in the same size and same colour with names of the departments, shops and hotels and have been written in both English and E-gay.

Area Development Officer/SDM Zanskar Sonam Dorjay, Executive Engineer PWD Department Zanskar Muhammad Abbas besides other concerned officers were present during the distribution function.

All the shopkeepers, hoteliers and department officials appreciated the EC Zanskar Affairs for taking this initiative for beautification and management of the town.
