KARGIL, MARCH 17, 2021: Hundreds of higher secondary school students participated in a protest March over late in declaration of their annual examinations. The protest march began from Baroo-Do Bridge and culminated at the District Commissioner office premises in Baroo here today.

Without a leading organization, the students took out a random protest after a protest call went viral on social media sites, two days earlier.

Speaking to media a student said that it has been three months since the examinations have concluded but the results are not declared yet. Due to late in declaration of results they are not eligible to take admission for further studies and the admission dates are also closing at different universities.

Earlier the students were addressed by the Magistrate and Deputy Secretary at Baroo-Do Bridge where the officers assured that the results are about to declare by the end of this month.

Addressing the students, the Magistrate said that as per his information the results are ready but the practical exams of Samagra are scheduled on 22 March. The evaluation of the same will take one more week. Thus, the results are about to declare on end of the March.

However, the students to get more conformation moved towards the District Commissioner office in Baroo where a delegation of five students met with the DC.

Speaking to the Voice of Ladakh, Zahra Sheikh a student of Government Higher Secondary School Pushkum who was among the delegation said that the DC assured that the results of class 10th will be declared by 25th of March. However, the practical exams of Samagra are yet to conduct on 22 of March thus the results of Class 11th and 12th will be announced by the end of this month.
