KARGIL, MARCH 15, 2021: To redress the problems of telecommunication in the far-flung areas of Zanskar, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Zanskar Sonam Dorjay visited the last hamlet of Hanamure Zangla village here on Sunday. 

SDM Dorjay was accompanied by Lambardar Zangla.

The SDM handed over a satellite phone to a resident of the village named Tsewang Rangdol to connect the village through telecommunication services especially in case of any emergency. Rangdol was also explained how to use the phone and its recharging process.

The SDM took a hard trek of 5 hours to reach the far-flung village of Hanamure. 

The people of Hanamure while expressing immense happiness conveyed their heartfelt thanks to the Government for sanctioning a satellite phone for their convenience, adding they also thanked the SDM Zanskar for the 5 hours hard trek to get the satellite phone to their area besides also to take on spot appraisal of their grievances and issues.
