Let Democracy Survive, Release All Those Detained: Farooq Abdullah

Srinagar/ Dec 24: Days after the results of the DDC Election were over, PAGD members headed by the National Conference President addressed a Press Conference at his residence. While addressing the Media Dr. Farooq Abdullah demanded the release of those who are detained, if the government wants democracy to survive in Jammu and Kashmir.

Speaking on the miseries being faced by Traders,Students and all the sections of society in absence of 4G Internet service,Dr Farooq Abdullah demanded immediate restoration of 4G internet services stating that Prime Minister Narendera Modi talks about 5G, but people of J&K are still craving for high speed internet services.

While addressing the presser Dr. Farooq Abdullah demanded  uninterrupted power supply to the people of Jammu and Kashmir as people have suffered for this since ages.

Asked by the reporter of Kashmir News Trust(KNT),whether PAGD would stay since  DDC polls are over, Dr Farooq said,“We are here to stay and nobody should have any doubt in it.”

PAGD leader and Peoples Conference Chairman Sajad Gani Lone expressed his gratitude to the voters who voted in the recently concluded DDC elections and also to those who didn’t vote for alliance candidates.

“Preventive detention is a new trend what is the logic of this, we condemn these preventive detentions and we demand the release of all those detained immediately,” Sajad Lone said. (KNT)
