Srinagar/ Dec 24: In order to make the party more vibrant, Janata Dal United has decided to launch a membership drive across Jammu and Kashmir.

The decision was taken in a meeting chaired by Janata Dal United President for Jammu and Kashmir G.N Shaheen.

The meeting was held in Raj Bagh area of Kashmir capital Srinagar on Thursday.

Shaheen told news agency KNT that party is not satisfied with performance in recently concluded District Development Council elections. “We won only 5 seats, much to the disappointment of party top brass,” Shaheen said,

He said after launching a membership drive, the party will constitute a new body accordingly. (KNT)
