KARGIL, SEPTEMBER 12, 2022: A four-day training on Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM) conducted by We The People Key Resource Centre under National JJM from September 5 to 8, concluded today at Kargil. 

The program was attended by 65 participants including BDC members and Sarpanches of 8-Blocks of Kargil district. The training was facilitated by Ajaya Mohapatra, CEO, We The People along with other national resource persons.

Commissioner Secretary Ajeet Kumar Sahoo, Deputy Commissioner/CEO, LAHDC, Kargil Santosh Sukhadeve, CPO, Kargil Abdul Hadi, Chief Engineer Mir Afaq and Executive Engineer Hasan, PHE, Kargil addressed the participants during the training and discussed the issues and challenges faced by the village Sater and Sanitation Committee in ensuring ‘Har Ghar Jal’ in their respective Villages.

The participants went for an exposure visit to Tumail village of Sodh Block which is the 1st village in Kargil district that has achieved 100 percent Functional Household Tap Connection (FHTC) and learnt different aspects of JJM. 

The training mainly covered three components on JJM including planning, implementation and post-implementation phases.
