AKSAD Delegation call upon CEC Feroz; raises students related issues


Delhi, July 03, 2022: On the occasion of the Foundation Stone laying ceremony of Ladakh Bhawan (Kargil Wing) at Dwarka, Delhi, the All Kargil (Ladakh) Students’ Association Delhi (AKSAD) delegation called upon the Chairman and Chief Executive Councillor, LAHDC, Kargil Feroz Ahmad Khan.

Lieutenant Governor of Ladakh Radha Krishna Mathur Laid the Foundation Stone of Ladakh Bhawan (Kargil Wing) at Dwarka, Delhi. He was accompanied by CEC Kargil Kacho Feroz Ahmad Khan, DC Kargil Santosh Sukhdev, Secretary to Administration of Ladakh Ajeet Kumar Sahu and other officials of LAHDC.

The Ladakh Bhawan site is situated in Sector 18A Dwarka phase II, which is near to the IGI Airport. The Bhawan is expected to be completed by 2024.

AKSAD President and Executive Body in a meeting with CEC LAHDC Kargil and Executive Councillor Agha Syed Abass Rizvi praises the LAHDC for the initiative of Ladakh Bhawan and put forth certain demands pertaining to the student fraternity.

The students demanded for an office and Multipurpose Hall for AKSAD in the Ladakh Bhawan (Kargil wing).

The students body further demanded for age relaxation for candidates in upcoming DSSRB recruitments, exemption of Indian Language (Paper-A) for Ladakhi Candidates in UPSC CSE Mains exam, immediate release of pending PMSSS Scholarship to the concerned students, a long term Environment Policy for Kargil to tackle drought like situations, early announcement of examination date for upcoming SSC exam, representation from LAHDC for reservation of hostel for girls in University of Jamia Millia Islamia, and University of Delhi and other universities.

The AKSAD President further demanded medical awareness camp for the students (especially newcomers) who are studying in Delhi and Career Counselling for students.

The CEC LAHDC patiently listened to the demands and assured that the demands would be fulfilled and further said that he is available to solve the grievances of AKSAD whenever it approaches.
